Your baby’s nursery will obviously be one of the first places your baby receives sensory signals and is likely to spend almost the entire first few months between sleeping and quiet alertness. You can achieve both a calm and soothing environment for your bab’s nursery as well as providing stimulus for her brain to grow and develop. If you use these five tips, your baby’s nursery will be outstanding.
Tip 1: Finding Your Inner Serenity
Your baby’s nursery theme should be of a calm and serene nature. Babies will thrive in any environment that is calm and serene, allowing them to relax into the environment around them and observe. Consider colours that promote a serene environment , like cool greens, browns and blues. You may also consider other pastels such as, purples, pinks and mauves for the effect you require.
Tip 2: Consider Your Childs Sex
In knowing the sex of your baby, think of the images that you imagine will influence your child. While, most peopel still lean towards blue for boys and pink for girls, toady’s baby bedding is vibrant and clourful. There are lots of beautiful bright colors and patterns to choose from to help you design a gorgeous nursery you’ll want to show off to all the neighbors. Tip 3: Understanding How Your Child’s Brain Develops
The brains of newborns and infants is always developing and firing. Much of the brain growth in a child happens before age two, therefore babyhood and toddlerhood are important times in any childs life. Besides black and white, red will be one of the first colours your baby will see. Consider using strong, bright colours that will stimulate the brain and encourage confidence. Consisder also the theme of animals or other images that a child will learn to identify as the child grows.
Tip 4; Choose a Transitional Theme
To avoid having to redecorate your baby’s nursery as they grow into toddlerhood, choose a theme that transitions through each stage well. If you are decorating with a baby animal jungle theme, painting the walls a soft green or brown will work together much better than themed wallpaper or murals.
Tip 5: Choose Accessories Carefully
You should consider the accessories in your baby’s nursery carefully as you don’t want then to be a hazzard when baby becomes mobile and curious. Instead of choosing accessories for your baby’s nursery because they fit the theme, try using items in a colour or pattern that go with your theme instead. This may include a wall mounted diaper holder, a pretty lotion dispenser to sit atop the changing table or dresser or even a hamper or toy box that will transition well as they grow.
